Best for: a voice and video guest book
Gooya is a good fit. A voice note is one of the three things a guest can send from the same QR code, beside a photo and a short film — not a separate product and not a separate scan.
A voice note from someone who was there carries something a photograph does not. This page says exactly how much of it we hold, and names the one place voice does not travel.
Why it fits
- One flow, three things. Photo, short film and voice note come off the same page, through the same door, into the same album. Nobody has to be sent somewhere else to speak.
- A voice note can be up to 25 MB, which is far longer than anyone speaks at a wedding. A film can be up to 1.5 GB and 5 minutes.
- The recording is stored as it arrives and the guest is let go immediately. The conversion happens afterwards, off the guest's path, so a queue of people all recording at once does not become a queue of people all waiting.
- On a free event the three share one pool of 50, so a voice note is not rationed against a separate smaller allowance.
The one cap worth knowing
Each guest can leave three voice notes at one event. That is a backstop against a single phone filling the album with audio, and it is the only thing counted per guest — photos and films are not rationed person by person, so nobody runs out while the event is still going.
Where we are not the answer
A private album — the kind you share with a link and a PIN, with no event behind it — carries photos and films only. Voice notes belong to an event. If the thing you want to send round is a set of recordings with no event attached, an album is the wrong shape and we will not sell you one for it.
And if what you actually want is a physical guest book that people write in with a pen, buy one. Nothing here replaces handwriting.
