Terms of Service

The service

Gooya — a product of After The Message — lets event hosts collect photos, videos, and voice messages from their guests via a QR code or link, into a private gallery the host controls. Guests participate without accounts; hosts register with an email address. By using Gooya you agree to these terms.

Eligibility & your account

Hosts must be at least 18. Keep your login credentials secure and your account information accurate; you are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at info@afterthemessage.com if you suspect unauthorized use.

Your content

Hosts and guests keep ownership of everything they upload. You grant us only the limited license needed to store, convert (for example, transcoding videos so they play on all devices), and display your content to the people you intend — nothing more. Guests grant the event host permission to keep and view their contributions as a personal, non-commercial keepsake of the event. We never sell content, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models.

Acceptable use

Don't upload unlawful content, content you have no right to share, sexual content involving minors, malware, or material that harasses, threatens, or endangers anyone. There is zero tolerance for objectionable, abusive, or illegal content.

Reporting & objectionable content

Hosts can hide or permanently remove any guest contribution from their gallery at any time. Anyone can report content they believe violates these terms by emailing info@afterthemessage.com with a link or description. We review reports of objectionable content and act within 24 hours — removing content and suspending or blocking users who violate these terms — and may remove content or accounts that break the law.

The host's responsibilities

Hosts are responsible for their event: telling guests their contributions will be shared with the host, and obtaining any consents customary or required for their event and jurisdiction (including for photos of minors).

Plans & payment

Some features require a paid plan. Prices and what each plan includes are shown at checkout. Payments are handled by our payment processor. Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable; contact us if something goes wrong and we'll make it right where we can.

Availability & storage

We work hard to be reliable on your event night, but the service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. Download your gallery after the event — we offer one-click download of everything. Storage duration follows your plan; we'll notify the account email before any scheduled deletion.

Deleting your account

You can delete individual memories, entire events, or your whole account and its data from the dashboard at any time, or by emailing info@afterthemessage.com. See our Privacy Policy for how deletion works.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Gooya and After The Message are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Apple App Store

If you use Gooya through Apple's App Store or an App Clip, this agreement is between you and Gooya (After The Message) only, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them. You confirm you are not in a U.S.-embargoed country or on a U.S. prohibited-parties list, and you will comply with the App Store Terms of Service.

Changes & contact

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced to the account email. These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the host's state of residence where applicable. Contact: info@afterthemessage.com.
